WSX World ranking men's podium
After a great final race in Shanghai, finishing first, Anthony Avella (Fra) won the World Skate Cross Series 2013 season and became 2013 Skate Cross World Champion for the first time in his career. Before starting the final, he was sure to be the champion already, as his rivals for the victory were all surprisingly kicked out in the quarter finals ; but A.Avella found the motivation to win the race and could forget his second places in Rome and Moscow WSX main events.
Just behind him, the 2012 title holder, Ilya Sukhenko (Rus) finished on the second step of the podium 2013. It is still a good result for him this season, and he will be back next season to bring the title back to Russia in 2014!
On the third step of the podium, Kevin Quintin (Fra), world champion 2011, did a very good start this season, with 2 victories in Rome and Lausanne, but because of an injury in Moscow, he couldn't skate until Shanghai, and was not 100% ready to get the title back.

For her first full season with the french freeride team, Mathilde Monneron (Fra) did a great performance, winning races after races. She missed only 2 victories this year, in Rennes, and in Lyon, but she won all the other races, to finish again with a victory in Shanghai, thanks to her perfect technique and speed on the obstacles.
On the second step of the podium, Jessica Billard (Fra) did a full season too, with 2 victories, and a title of Champion of france in Niort. She improved her speed this season, and she will train more on the obstacle for the next season to be able to catch M.Monneron in 2014.
On the third step of the podium, Maria Sedova (Rus) came to the main races, and even if she didn't make it to the finals this year, her strategy was good, since the result is there for her ! A great surprise and a good motivation for the next season !
