The Beton On Fire Altenberg 2015 is over. 25 riders from 8 countries - France, Switzerland, Germany, Russia, Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain and Poland - were strong and crazy enough to fight for victory on the bob track. Congratulations to the winners, who were faster this time.
The 2014 Beton on fire Tour-Champion, Kilian Braun from Switzerland, got the victory in the Inline category. He improved his result from last year when he ended up second. German raider Falko Quinger did great and finished second with a 0,46 sec difference from Kilian. Sebastien Rastegar from France, who finished only one step from the podium last year, did better this time and took the third place in the final.
German Dennis Wangler was the fastest among the longboarders and repeated his victory from the previous year. He ended with a 6,17-second difference from the second place, which went to Jeff Rijswijk from Netherlands. Bruno Callens from Belgium was a little slower but still fast enough for the third place of the podium.
Buggy Rollin star, Jean-Yves Blondeau, stayed unbreakable and got another victory. Losing from 3,9 seconds, another French competitor, Christophe Andreatta, took the second place of the Buggy Rollin race. Anthony Finocchiaro, despite his crash in the final run, ended up at the third step of the podium.
All in all, this year's edition was even bigger in terms of competitors, successful and more impressive for both riders and audience. Weather was kind, competitors were fearless and organization was top as always. Now, time to turn this page and look forward to the next step in Sigulda Latvia, which looks also very promising and exciting! See you there!
